Jami Duffy

Executive Director, jami@flobots.org
Prior to joining Flobots.org in 2010, Jami worked as the Social Justice and International Living and Learning Community coordinator at the University of Denver. During her time at DU, Jami spearheaded DU’s first White Flag Warrior workshop which brought together 15 students organizations, 150 students and members of Flobots around the common theme of peace-building. She also helped coordinate Project Homeless Connect,facilitated DU’s Haiti relief efforts, was the staff sponsor for DU Students for Comprehensive Immigration Reform, and brought members of Flobots to the TedXDU stage to discuss new ways to educate youth. After graduating with her BA in Political Science and Journalism from DU in 2003, Jami served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nicaragua, where she managed a series of grass-roots development projects. They include a community bank, women’s empowerment groups, community gardens, latrine and water well development, a community center and a preschool. In addition to her work in the social justice arena, Jami founded and currently facilitates two women’s spirituality groups that provide access to resources, experiences, and wisdom teachings that support personal transformation and inspired living.

Laura Bond

A background in music, journalism, development and arts-based youth programming serve Laura Bond as Director of Programs for Flobots.org. Prior to joining Flobots.org in May 2009, Laura was the North American Director of Ethiopia Reads, an organization that build libraries for children across Ethiopia. As a former music editor and staff writer at Westword Newspaper, Laura covered everything from Denver’s vibrant music scene to issues of mental health, sexuality and religion. Laura’s writing has garnered multiple awards, including the Annie E. Casey’s Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. Laura serves on the Colorado Creative Industries Creative Advisory Panel and was a featured speaker at the 2010 Denver Music Summit Symposium, sponsored by the Western States Arts Federation. She is a member of the Lighthouse Writer’s Workshop and a facilitator-in-training with Art from Ashes. A native of Arizona, Laura has called North Denver home for twelve years.

Aaron has a Philosophy degree from the University of Colorado, is a dedicated yoga teacher and practitioner, musician and producer, and is the co-founder of Youth On Record. He has a passionate commitment to establishing programs and practices built on respect for life through the integration of deep ecology, nutrition, creative expression, physical fitness, spiritual practice, rational thought, and political engagement.

Adrian H. Molina

Program Specialist and Lead Instructor.

MOLINA is a Hip-Hop artist, storyteller, poet, playwright, human bridge, community builder, and youth advocate.

An artist of the people and for the people, Molina has been known by many names, from Mo Brown, to his full given name, to Molina Soleil and Molina Speaks. As an unsigned, independent artist, Molina has released eight eclectic music projects, most notably “Soulaju”, “Name & Town”, and “Build 2020”, amidst a growing cadre of singles and guest appearances.

Molina has performed at hundreds of cultural and community oriented events.  As an educator, Molina teaches Chicano Studies, Hip-Hop Studies, and Media Studies courses at the college and high school levels.  He has lectured at dozens of colleges and universities nationally.  Molina designs curriculum and facilitates programming for Flobots.Org’s Art to Action and Fight with Tools programs.

 

Christopher Guillot

A skilled composer, producer, engineer and multi-instrumentalist with a truly eclectic musical  sensibility, Christopher Guillot holds a BSM in Audio Engineering and Music Business from the University of Colorado. Chris developed a highly successful Music, and Music Technology Education Program at the Spot Youth Center (an affiliate of Urban Peak), where he helped hundreds of young people learn to create music, set goals, and achieve.

Chris is the owner of Cherry Sound studio in Denver. He is a second-degree blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do. His Godfather was the late great Norman Petty, Producer for Buddy Holly, and Jimmy Gilmer and the Fireballs.

Luke Butzen

A member of the original Fight With Tools Denver street team, Luke provides invaluable support to Flobots.org as our lead volunteer. Whether working at special event, performing administrative tasks or providing input on program ideas, Luke help keeps our work running smoothly. Luke is a student at the Community College of Denver.
